“Celebrating Seniors Mardi Gras Style” features health information, music, performance, shopping, food and more, all with Mardi Gras flavor! This popular, free annual event also includes door prizes and Best Dressed In Theme prizes!
Our goal is to promote fitness and fun for mature adults, and introduce our community to the great staff and opportunities for learning and fun at the Best Years Senior Center. Attendees can visit more than 80 senior friendly booths, catch a show, or just take in all the Mardi Gras sights and sounds.

AARP 55+ Safety Driving Classes
Held every 4 to 6 weeks at the center. Will lower insurance every 3 years.
$12 members; $14-non-members. Not for violations. Call 838-1902 for next scheduled class.
DAY TRIPS
Educational day trips are planned several times a year. Please read newsletter for the next
exciting outing! Fees are nominal and various according to place/distance.
VOLUNTEERS
Without community service, we would not have a strong quality of life…
it’s the way in which we ourselves grow and develop. Dr. Dorothy Height (1912).
The classes at the Best Years Senior Center are led by volunteers. It is through these teachers that we can offer the public quality programs to keep mature adults active and healthy. We are grateful to have over 25 volunteers, who give generously their time, skills.
REGISTRATION and TRANSPORTATION
Members fill out a one page application. Most classes are free; some have a small fee to cover cost of supplies. Van rides are provided two days a week; Monday and Wednesday; Reservations must be made 24 hours in advance. Application of participate must be on file. Call 838-1902.
